Chinese Tourist Visa. Standard and Urgent Processing
Chinese tourist visa is a document which allows foreign nationals to travel to China as tourists. Chinese tourist visas are offered as- single entry - visiting China only once for 30 days during a 90 days period or
- double entry - for two entries up to 30 days each within 180 days
Please note, regardless of the visa entry type your each stay in China cannot exceed 30 days. Under exceptional circumstances you can apply for a longer period of stay in China, e.g. if you plan an extensive travel programme in the country. You will need to indicate this in the visa application form and provide sufficient evidence of your travel itinerary.
You can apply for your Chinese visa no earlier than three months before your arrival date in China. Chinese visas cannot be issued at the border or extended.
Required documents
| Original passport | Passport must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 6 months after your intended departure from China. |

| Colour photo | 3.5 cm by 4.5 cm taken against a light background (white or off - white), UK standard passport photo will be sufficient. View photo specification. |
| Visa support documents | Travel Itinerary to include a) Accommodation confirmation covering the whole period of your stay in China, b) Outbound flight, ferry, train ticket from China, c) Inbound flight, ferry, train ticket showing how your start your trip to China from your original destination. If you do not have any flight or train tickets confirmation, please provide a Personal Statement explaining your circumstances (why you do not have confirmations of your flight / train tickets) and detailing your whole itinerary, day by day including how you leave China. | Non UK – nationals | The original and photocopy of your valid certificates of residence, employment or student status. |
