India Tourist Visa

All foreign nationals require a tourist visa to enter India. Passport holders of Finland, Japan, Luxembourg, New Zealand and Singapore can obtain tourist visa upon arrival in India which will be valid for 30 days. Other passport holders must obtain a visa before taking a flight to India.

Tourist visas are granted for 3 months, 6 months to 1 year with single, double or multiple entries. Irrespective of the visa validity, maximum period of stay in India is limited to 180 days only.

Note: if are a non-UK national and have been living in the UK for less than two years, the visa processing will be minimum 10-15 working days.
 

Required documents

Original passport	Passport must have at least 2 blank pages and be valid for at least 6 months after your intended departure from India.
Visa application form	Once you have ordered your India tourist visa through our company you will receive a detailed guidance how to complete the forms.
Declaration form	You need to sign the terms and conditions of the India visa centre.
Colour photo	Two 5 cm by 5 cm taken against a light background (white or off - white). Important – this is not a standard passport size photograph. Most photo booths do offer photo option of 5 cm by 5 cm. View India visa photo specification.
Working in specific professions	Those working in media, police, armed forces, commercial pilots, crew members, charity and social workers, researchers need to provide a letter from their employer on the company letterhead addressed to the High Commission of India, London stating the purpose of the visit. Self employed media professionals need to provide an Undertaking letter confirming no professional related activities will be undertaken during their stay in India.
Non UK – nationals	Resident in the UK for less than two years: additional visa form is required.. Resident in the UK over two years: copy of current UK visa (residence permit), AND utility bills from the current month and one for at least two years back (but not older than 30 months) are required. No bank statements will be accepted, only utility bills.
